I am studying to be a Veterinary assistant at the Santa Rosa Junior College. My mom and I left a rundown Lake County rental when the Landlord refused to repair things that were broken or unsafe. I spent about a year in shelters and on the streets unable to save enough money for first and last month’s rent. I finally found a room to rent in Cotati last September. School is hard, but easier now that I have a stable place to live.
