Smaller, older households unable to downsize from larger houses, a lot of second homes — all of this and more contributes to what a new report sees as a mismatch between the Napa Valley’s housing stock and people’s needs.

Napa County commissioned the “State of Housing in Napa Valley” report from the nonprofit group Generation Housing. On Tuesday, the county’s Board of Supervisors heard the results.
