The Petaluma South Apartments’ proposed 50-unit development would provide new homes affordable to low- and very-low income families that earn between 30 and 80 percent of area median income.
The majority of apartments are 2-3 bedroom, which are ideal for local families.

The location of this project reflects the spirit of an inclusionary housing development. This development will provide needed housing for families on a riverfront property close to Golden Gate bus routes leading both south into Marin and San Francisco as well as north into Sonoma County. The 1-bedroom apartments in particular are ideal for those working in employment centers like Downtown Petaluma. According to the U.S. Census’ LEHD Origin-Destination Employment Statistics, this project is located within a mile of a significant job center – defined as having more than 4,000 jobs per square mile.
