Generation Housing endorsed the Stony Point Flats development proposed at 2268 Stony Point Road.
The proposed Stony Point Flats project, a 100% affordable housing development, would construct four buildings with 50 residential units on a 2.93 acre project site in the City of Santa Rosa. Stony Point Flats will bring homes to families and individuals earning 30-60% of AMI. The project meets an important need given that housing for households earning between 30-60% of the area median income face amongst the toughest time in finding affordable housing. The 50-unit community will consist of 12, one bedroom, 24 two bedroom and 14 three bedroom units. 48 of the living units will be located in two (2) three story residential buildings located on the east side of the property.
To the west of the main residential buildings will be a two-story building with two additional units on the second level and secured bike storage. The community room, mail service, tech center and fitness facilities will be located in a single-story building at the Stony Point Road entrance to the site. Outdoor common areas will include a half basketball court, playground, picnic and BBQ areas. On-site resident services will be provided by ownership to coordinate activities, classes and agency referrals for residents.
